A real estate agent’s vehicle is an integral part of their business and that’s why FCA US LLC (formerly Chrysler Group LLC), the official automobile manufacturer of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®, is offering NAR members AND immediate family members a $500 cash allowance on the purchase or lease of select Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep® or Ram models, and the FIAT® 500L. Plus, REALTORS® receive 2 years (up to 8 changes) no-charge oil changes. It’s time to close the deal on this offer, so you can help your clients close the deal on their new homes.

Member Expense Reimbursement Changes
Updates to NAR’s member expense reimbursement policy were approved by the Board of Directors at its meeting in Washington last month, effective on May 16, 2016.  Accordingly, the daily reimbursement cap for meals and incidentals and the per-person limit for guest entertainment expenses moves from $80 to $125. For more info contact Candace Bodnar or Karen Paschal.

Temporary  Health Insurance Option Available
If you have members who missed open enrollment and need health insurance, REALTORS® Insurance Marketplace has options. The SMART Short Term Medical plan is an option if they need coverage until the end of the year. It’s designed to be affordable and can last from 30 days to six months.

Voice for Real Estate: NAR Challenges Patent
The latest Voice for Real Estate news video looks at a petition NAR filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office challenging the validity of a patent a company has been using to try to make money off of real estate brokerages. NAR says the technology behind a particular email communication service is widely available and not eligible for patent protection. Other news segments look at the drop in median age of REALTORS®, which signals a long-sought shift in industry demographics, the top 10 cities millennial homebuyers like, NAR’s efforts to prevent a federal rule from hurting the availability of commercial real estate loans, and  the 10-year high in signed contrast. Watch and share the video.

Survey on RPR® Commercial Guest Accounts
AEs: Temporary access to the RPR® commercial platform is a recurring topic of conversation among members and association staff because of its potential for showing the value of RPR® to nonmembers. Share your thoughts in a survey on whether local associations should provide RPR® guest accounts to non-members as a recruiting tool. The guest account survey is strictly a commercial focused discussion and will not allow guests to see MLS or CIE active listing data.
