The National Association of REALTORS® 2007 Annual Report

Connecting the Dots

The year 2007 was very special for the National Association of REALTORS® and our 1.3 million members,
who work to serve private property owners across the nation. As both the capstone to our first 100 years as
the Voice for Real Estate in America and the start of our second century, 2007 was the lynchpin between our
past success and a very promising future.

Under the theme, “Connecting the Dots,” I challenged REALTORS® to connect in some important ways in
2007. I asked them to reach out to consumers and help them in the transaction. I asked them to connect with
communities to help strengthen the real estate market and protect the long-term value of real estate. And, I
asked them to connect with their local and state associations to help strengthen our ability to shape our
profession and our industry.

Proving, once again, that our members’ needs are our top priority, the National Association of REALTORS®
unveiled a number of new programs and initiatives to help REALTORS® meet the challenges of a more
competitive real estate market.
