A real estate agent’s vehicle is an integral part of their business and that’s why FCA US LLC (formerly Chrysler Group LLC), the official automobile manufacturer of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®, is offering NAR members AND immediate family members a $500 cash allowance on the purchase or lease of select Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep® or Ram models, and the FIAT® 500L. Plus, REALTORS® receive 2 years (up to 8 changes) no-charge oil changes. It’s time to close the deal on this offer, so you can help your clients close the deal on their new homes.

REALTOR® Emeritus Candidate Forms Due
April 8 is the deadline to complete certification forms for REALTOR® Emeritus status, which recognizes REALTOR® members with 40 years of continuous membership and have completed at least one year of service at the national association level. However, for applications filed through 2019, the one-year service requirement may also be met through service at the state or local level. Applications must be submitted no later than April 8 to be considered for approval by the Board of Directors in May 2016 at the REALTOR® Legislative Meetings & Trade Expo. Information, forms, and eligibility requirements are online. For more info contact Mary Glick, 800/874-6500, ext.8831.

There will be special sessions on how to host a phone bank event on Saturday, March 12, and Sunday, March 13, at 4 p.m.

Boys & Girls Club Donations at AEI
NAR will be collecting donations for the local Boys & Girls Club on-site at the AE Institute in San Antonio. Bring travel-friendly items such as mini shampoo and conditioner bottles, colored pencils, markers, glue sticks, crayons, coloring books, sketch pads and construction paper to the registration desk, and an NAR staff member will make sure they are given to the local Boys & Girls Club. Help NAR Celebrate REALTOR® Trademark
2016 marks the centennial of the REALTOR® trademark, and you can help celebrate a century of REALTORS® protecting the American Dream, advocating for property ownership, and promoting healthy communities. As part of the celebration, NAR created 100Years.REALTOR, a place where REALTORS® can learn about the history of the trademark and celebrate all that they have accomplished. Visit the site, share your association’s stories, and encourage your members to share their stories as well.

Information Services Table at AEI
Stop by the Information Services table at the AE Institute to learn what Information Services and the NAR Library & Archives can do for your association. Browse unique images from NAR’s collection of historic photographs, as well as sample histories that have been compiled for local and state associations—and see how they have used the information to celebrate anniversaries, special events and more. Also learn about EBSCOhost, the Library’s new articles and journals database, as well the other services the department offers to associations. For more information, contact Sarah Hogan.

News Video Looks at Ad Campaign, VA Loans
The latest Voice for Real Estate news video looks at existing-home sales, legislative gains to eliminate loan caps for veterans, NAR’s new digital ad campaign, proposed changes to some airplane landing patterns, which affect real estate development, and a disconnect between practitioners and regulators over whether commercial real estate loans are getting too loose.
